Paven is a versatile venue for corporate and private events of many sizes. Beyond the panoramic sea views, the space combines striking architecture and exceptional food with Pentala’s nature—from natural sandy beaches to nature trails and a clear-water inland lake. The Espoo Archipelago Museum is also on the island.
Events at Paven are best suited to groups of 10–120—from meetings to parties, weddings and corporate functions.

Veranda
The views from the veranda showcase Suvisaaristo at its most beautiful. It comfortably accommodates approximately 20-30 people for meetings, and even 30-40 for dinner.

DINING ROOM
The over 100-year-old ballroom is a magnificent and versatile space, perfect for hosting company summer parties, seminar days, and wonderfully atmospheric weddings. The ballroom can accommodate 80 people and can be combined with the veranda, increasing the total capacity to 120 people.

Sailing terrace
Paven's sailing terrace serves as a wonderful additional space for private events. The terrace has its own bar and table groups, making it possible to dine outdoors, weather permitting.

Paven is always rented for private use and comes fully equipped. Our kitchen prepares delicious catering from meetings to dinners, complete with delightful drinks. Sea trips and program arrangements can be organised directly through us.

HISTORY
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Paven's sailing pavilion has served as a maritime base for everyone who enjoys sailing, archipelago experiences and stunning sea views. The pavilion, built for the Esbo Segelförening (ESF), was inaugurated in 1913. Since its opening, Paven has been a place to enjoy not only active sailing, but also various program evenings, with parties occasionally turning into dances to the rhythm of the grand piano and revues.
Paven's use as a restaurant began in the late 1930s, when Fanny and Algot Uhr, who had hosted traditional Wednesday sailing events and celebrations, started a restaurant business that was interrupted by the war. After the restaurant years, Paven served as a mere clubhouse and occasional party venue for almost half a century before a new wave of restaurant operations started in 2005.
Paven is an architecturally significant yacht club pavilion in Suvisaaristo in southwestern Espoo. It represents the Art Nouveau style, and the beautiful building was designed in 1912 by Sigurd Frosterus. Frosterus' main work was the Stockmann department store, built in 1929–1930 based on a proposal that came second in the 1916 architectural competition. Frosterus was also an enthusiastic competitive sailor and a member and commodore of the Esbo Segelförening sailing club from 1927-29. He asked architect colleague and sailboat designer Gustaf Estlander to design the 8mR yacht Sphinx in 1929. Frosterus competed and won several international awards with his boat. The boat is still actively sailing and competing in Finland.
